Research Interests
My research interests are the global carbon market, forestry and bamboo carbon offset projects, and their relationships with climate change. I graduated with a BSc of Science, majoring in Environmental Sciences, from UBC. I started to work with Dr. Guangyu Wang in the fourth year of my bachelor’s. We worked on the potential linkage of global carbon markets, especially linking with China National ETS, based on the experts’ insights and experience. We also investigated the barriers and challenges for developing carbon forestry projects based on a systematic review and sought solutions based on globally-renowned offset standards. My current research focuses on the additionality and effectiveness of forestry carbon offset projects, with a particular focus on applying this knowledge to China. Additionally, I will investigate a valid, credible, and internationally recognized carbon accounting methodology for bamboo forest carbon offset projects.
