The Great Bear Forest Carbon Project
The Great Bear Forest Carbon Project is an offset project that encourages proper forest management and forest protection for lands that were previously sanctioned, and zoned for logging purposes. Protection of the forested lands allows for carbon offsets to be generated, whereby the funds acquired from purchasing are directed back into local aboriginal communities to create jobs.
