Research Interests:
Helen (Ying) Zhang current research interests include: carbon accounting and auditing; low carbon economic development in China; carbon markets, especially the carbon Emission Trading Schemes in China and globally. As a Visiting Associate Scholar at UBC since 2015, Helen participated in the Development of a Low-carbon Economy in China’s Small and Medium Cities project. Now she is a member of the Linkage Between China and Global Carbon ETSs after COP21 project. Helen has rich experience in consulting, auditing, financial management, business and investment analysis, enterprise resource planning, performance management, comprehensive budgeting management and project management. She is a member of CPA and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), and received an EMBA from Xiamen University. As a professional expert in China, Helen is also interested in strategic planning, business development, including wood and forest related business investment, and carbon finance. She has completed serval successful cases and projects in China.
